Bulgaria's Jan-May Cons Budget Surplus Falls to 23.3 Mln Euro

Bulgaria's consolidated budget surplus fell to 45.5 million levs ($30.3 million/23.3 million euro) through May, equivalent to 0.1% of the gross domestic product (GDP) projected for this year, finance ministry figures showed.
In the same period of last year the country posted a budget surplus of 67.4 million levs.

Bulgaria closed last year with a budget deficit of 350.2 million levs, equivalent to 0.45% of the country's projected gross domestic product. The government plans a budget shortfall of 1.3% of GDP for this year.
