Bulgaria's consolidated budget showed a deficit of 888.6 million levs ($622 million/454 million euro) in the five months through May, compared to a deficit of 865 million levs in the January-April period, finance ministry figures showed. Consolidated budget revenue in the January-May period stood at 11.776 billion levs, while spending amounted to 12.170 billion levs, data posted on the finance ministry website indicated on Monday. Bulgaria closed last year with a budget deficit of 1.45 billion levs, equivalent to 1.8% of the country's projected gross domestic product.
