Bulgaria's January industrial output rose by a provisional 1.1% month-on-month after a revised 2.9% increase in December, while industrial sales went up by a monthly 1.6% following a revised 4.2% decrease in the previous month, data of the statistics office indicated.
Year-on-year, January industrial output was 7.9% higher and sales went up by 11.3%, data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI) indicated. A month earlier the outputs rose by 6.3% on the year and sales were 3.2% higher.
In January, the manufacturing sector was the only one to post monthly increase in both output and sales, as the output was 2.9% higher, while sales went up by 6.2%.
