Bulgaria’s Jan-April Cons Budget Gap Shrinks to 111 Mln Euro

Bulgaria's consolidated budget deficit shrank to 217.1 million levs ($137.7 million/111 million euro) in the first four months of 2012 from 552.1 million levs a year ago, figures from the finance ministry indicated.

Revenue to the consolidated state budget in the first four months of the year totalled 8,537 million levs, while spending stood at 8,382 million levs, finance ministry data released on Friday showed.

Net transfers to the EU budget amounted to 371.7 million levs.
