Bulgaria's consolidated budget showed a deficit of 865 million levs ($603 million/442 million euro) in the four months through April, compared to a gap of 286 million levs a year earlier, finance ministry figures showed on Saturday.
Consolidated budget revenue in the January-April period stood at 9.454 billion levs, while spending amounted to 9.897 billion levs, data posted on the finance ministry website indicated.
Bulgaria closed last year with a budget deficit of 1.45 billion levs, equivalent to 1.8% of the country's projected gross domestic product.
