Bulgaria's industrial production continued to recover in January, rising by 3.2% in monthly terms and by 9.3% against the same period of 2010, seasonally-adjusted data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) showed on Monday.
Processing industry output jumped by 18.7% month-on-month, while mining industry production as well as production and distribution of electricity and gas output dropped by 1.5%.
A more significant growth in the manufacturing industry was registered in metal production, excluding machinery and equipment, of 36.6%, followed by chemical products and pharmaceuticals production, which grew by 23.4% and 16.4%, respectively. ( Source: Dnevnik)
