Bulgaria's IBEX, Turkey's EPIAS to Sign MoU to Explore Power Market Coupling Options

The Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange (IBEX) said that it will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Turkish energy exchange EPIAS for exploring the opportunities for market coupling of the day ahead electricity markets of the two countries.The memorandum will also envisage collaboration in the development of an organised spot market for gas trading in Bulgaria, as well as the development of software solutions for the Centralized Market for Bilateral Contracts (CMBC), IBEX said in a statement on Monday, following a meeting with EPIAS representatives in Sofia.
