Bulgaria’s GDP up 1.6 Per Cent Y/Y in Q3, 2014

In the third quarter of 2014, Bulgaria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 1.6% on the year and by 0.5% from the second quarter of 2014, according to the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
According to the flash GDP estimates for the third quarter of 2014, the GDP at current prices amounted to 22 410 million levs, while the Gross Value Added (GVA) stood at 19 074 million levs.
Final consumption accounted for 70.7% of the GDP, or 15 845 million levs.
In Q3, 2014, gross capital formation stood at 21.7% of the GDP, or 4 870 million levs.
The external balance (exports minus imports) was positive.
According to seasonally adjusted data, the GDP grew by 0.5% on a quarterly basis in Q3, 2014 .
GVA increased by 0.5% on a quarterly basis in Q3, 2014.
