Bulgaria's Feb Industrial Output Falls 5.5% Y/Y, Sales Up 4.5% Y/Y

Bulgaria's February industrial output fell by a provisional 5.5% year-on-year, while industrial sales rose by an annual 4.9%, data of the statistics office indicated.

In January, the industrial output was 2.2% lower on the year, while sales increased by 3.5%.

On a monthly basis, the output fell by a provisional 2.1% in February with 3.7% decrease in manufacturing, 5.6% decline in mining and 3.6% rise in the energy and utilities sector, data released by the National Statistics Institute (NSI) on Friday indicated.

February industrial sales edged down by 0.4% on the month as the manufacturing was the only sector generating decrease, falling by 2.3% on the month and mining and utilities increasing with 5.9% and 3.2%, respectively.
