Bulgaria’s Facility Management Market Grows 15% in 2013

The total value of the facility management market in Bulgaria in 2013 has grown by 15% on the year to over 5.0 billion levs ($3.5 billion/2.6 billion euro), Sofia-based facility management company Facility Optimum Bulgaria said.
The turnover in 2014 is expected to increase by 15% in total, while technical support revenues are going to grow by 25%.
Local premises totalling 2.38 million square metres (sq m) used facility management services at the end of 2013. Their combined area rose by 9.0% compared to 2012.
The most active customers in the sector this year have been financial and utility companies, telecoms with branches throughout the country, as well as office and trade centres.
Cleaning services, which 90% of all companies use, is still the most popular facility management services; followed by technical support outsourcing services.
