Bulgaria's Environment Ministry To Launch 3.5 Million Levs Scheme for Mineral Springs

The Ministry of Environment and Water (MOSV) is launching a 3.5 million levs scheme aimed at municipalities for the development of mineral springs on their territory, stated Environment Minister Ivelina Vasileva.
The funds for the project have been secured from early trading with greenhouse gas emissions.
The programme will be administered by the National Trust EcoFund and will be implemented in 2017.
Admission of project proposals by local authorities and a preliminary review of the projects will be carried out between November 1 and December 16. Pre-project research, technical projects and business plans are among the criteria for the selection.
The funds under the scheme will be allocated for gratuitous financial assistance to municipalities of up to 50% of the project. The remaining funds will be municipal credit resources, explained Vasileva.
