Bulgaria's End-2011 EU-Harmonised CPI Rises 2.0%

Bulgaria's EU-harmonised consumer prices increased by 2.0% on the year and were up 0.3% month-on-month in December, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said on Friday.

In November the consumer price index (CPI) edged up by a monthly 0.1% and rose by 2.6% on the year.

The average annual inflation was 3.4% in 2011 compared to 3.0% in 2010.

Bulgaria's non-EU harmonised monthly CPI rose by a monthly 0.1% in December, compared to a 0.3% increase in November. In annual terms, the December non-EU harmonised CPI rose by 2.8% after going up by 3.1% in November.
