Bulgaria’s electricity production rose 11.5% through May 23 while electricity consumption was up by 2.5%, the country’s energy minister said on Friday.
Electricity exports have jumped by 111% since the beginning of the year, Dragomir Stoynev was quoted as saying in a press release.
Bulgaria’s electricity production amounted to 43 million megawatt-hours in 2013, according to data from the website of state-owned power utility NEK.
