Bulgaria’s Economy To Grow by Less than 2.0% in 2013 – Think Tank

Bulgaria's gross domestic product in 2013 will rise by less than 2.0% in a repetition of last year's performance, according to a local think tank.

The gap in the performance of the country's different regions has widened and the most economically underdeveloped ones have posted the highest unemployment rate, business news daily Capital quoted the president of the Centre for Economic Development (CED), Georgi Prohaski, as saying.

CED also expects this year's jobless rate to remain above 12% with inflation staying below 3.0%.

The inflow of foreign direct investments in the country is seen rising to 2.3-2.5 billion euro ($3.1-3.4 billion) this year.
