Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) rose by a quarterly 0.5% in April-June after a 0.5% contraction in January-March, seasonally-adjusted data from the statistics office indicated on Thursday.
It is for the first time since the beginning of the economic crisis that Bulgaria's GDP posts positive growth in a quarter, compared to the previous quarter, and the main factors which contributed to the growth are exports of goods and services, the National Statistics Office (NSI) said in a statement.
