Bulgaria’s Dec Industrial Output Rises 2.4% M/M, Sales Drop 6.5% M/M

Bulgaria's December industrial output rose by a provisional 2.4% month-on-month after edging up by a revised 0.9% in November, while industrial sales dropped by a monthly 6.5% following a revised 4.0% increase in the previous month, data of the statistics office indicated.

Year-on-year December industrial output was 4.1% higher and sales went up by 1.4%, data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI) indicated. A month earlier the output declined by 2.0% on the year, while sales were 2.6% higher.

The most significant monthly increase in the industrial output was registered in the mining sector, up by 21.9%, while in the industrial sales utilities sector advanced the most with 28.4% monthly increase.
