Bulgaria's January consumer confidence indicator rose by 2.3 percentage points compared to its October level mostly due to urbanites' more optimistic assessment of the current situation.
In January, consumers' assessment and expectations regarding the financial situation of the households were more favourable compared with October, the National Statistic Office (NSI) said.
Consumers continued to perceive prices as having increased over the last 12 months albeit at a slower pace.
Unemployment rate is expected to slightly fall or keep its current level in the following 12 months, respondents to the NSI poll said.
Consumers continued to perceive the economic situation as unfavourable regarding their savings but expect improvement in the next 12 months.
