Bulgaria’s business sentiment index in November grew by 1.7 percentage points on the month after falling by 2.1 percentage points in October, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said.
The industrial sub-index this month increased by 4.3 percentage points compared to last month due to managers’ improved assessment and expectations about the companies operating in the sector, NSI said.
The construction sub-index in November stayed flat on the month. Managers are rather pessimistic about the construction dynamics in the next three months and the business of the companies in the sector in the next six months.
The retail sub-index went down by 0.6 percentage points on the month in November due to retailers’ moderate expectations about the companies' businesses. The uncertain economic situation remains the main issue for the retail business.
In the service sector, the sub-index increased by 0.9 percentage points in November, as managers were more optimistic about the current state of their business operations.
Overall, managers said they expect prices to remain unchanged over the next three months.
