Bulgaria’s Business Sentiment Index Rises In May

Bulgaria’s business sentiment index increased by 4.3 percentage points on the month in May as managers from all sectors of the economy assessed more positively the current business situation, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said on Wednesday.
The construction subindex increased by 2.2 percentage points on the month in May, while the retail subindex grew by 2.5 percentage points from a month earlier, NSI said in a statement published on its website.
The industrial subindex grew by 4.2 percentage points from a month earlier, whereas the business climate gauge in the services sector increased by 8.2 percentage points.
