Bulgaria's Business Sentiment Index Rises in July

Bulgaria's July business sentiment index edged up by 1.4 percentage points from the previous month after declining by 0.7 points in June, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said.
In July, the industrial sub-index increased by 3.2 percentage points on the month due to managers’ more favourable assessment of the current business situation and positive expectations, the NSI said in a statement.
The sub-index in construction lost 1.8 percentage points from June, while the retail sub-index rose by 5.2 percentage points.
The business climate gauge in the services edged down by 2.8 percentage points month-on-month in July due to the managers' more negative assessment of the current business situation of their companies.
