Bulgaria's November business sentiment index fell by 2.1 percentage points from the previous month, after edging down by 0.7 points on the month in October, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said.
In November, the industrial sub-index dropped by 4.2 percentage points from the previous month due to managers' more pessimistic expectations for the business situation over the following months. They continue to perceive the economic situation as uncertain and do not expect an increase in prices over the next three months.
The sub-index for the construction decreased by 2.5 percentage points from October due the to managers' more pessimistic expectations for the development of the enterprises over the next six months. Overall, managers expect a decrease in price levels over the following three months.
The retail sub-index in November gained 2.5 percentage points on the month and exceeded its long-term average by 2.8 points. The uncertain economic situation remains the main problem for the retail Business. Overall, managers expect the prices to preserve their level over the next three months.
The business climate gauge in the services sector lost 2.3 percentage points in November, due to managers' more reserved assessments and expectations for the Business situation in the sector and the service demand. Overall, managers do not expect an increase in prices over the following three months.
