Bulgaria's November business sentiment index edged up by 0.9 percentage points from the previous month after falling by 2.7 points in October, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said.
In November, the industrial sub-index increased by 3.5 percentage points on the month, due to the managers' more optimistic expectations regarding the business situation in the sector over the following six months.
The sub-index in construction went down by 5.3 percentage points from October, as managers' were more pessimistic in their assessments and expectations about the business situation in the sector.
The retail sub-index lost 1.2 percentage points on the month in November, due to retailers' worsened assessments and expectations regarding the business situation. The uncertain economic situation remains the main problem for the retail business.
The business climate gauge in the services sector gained by 3.6 percentage points in November, as managers' were more optimistic about the business situation in the following six months.
Overall, managers said they do not expect a hike in prices over the next three months, except for those in the retail sector, who said they foresee certain increase during the period under review.
