Bulgaria's Business Sentiment Improves m/m in May

Bulgaria’s business sentiment indicator improved by 2.1 percentage points (pp) month-on-month in May after adding 2.8 pp in April, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Wednesday. Business sentiment improved month-on-month in all sectors of the economy, except for retail trade, the NSI said in its monthly business climate survey, in which managers of 4,200 enterprises were interviewed. The indicator improved most in construction - by 8.1 points, followed by industry with a 1.4 pp increase. In the services sector the indicator improved by 0.9 pp, while it was 1.6 pp lower in retail.
