Bulgaria’s Bulgargaz, Yemen LNG To Discuss NatGas Supplies via Greek, Turkish Terminals

Bulgaria's gas monopoly Bulgargaz and Yemen LNG will discuss the opportunities for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Yemen to the Southeast European country via Greek and Turkish terminals, Bulgaria's energy ministry said.

The ministry provided no further details in a press release issued after a session of the intergovernmental Bulgarian-Yemeni committee for economic cooperation in Sana over the weekend.

Bulgaria, which is seeking ways to reduce its almost complete dependence on Russian gas deliveries, plans to break ground for the construction of gas interconnectors with Greece and Turkey in the spring.
