Bulgaria’s Budget Deficit Grows to 53.8 Mln Euro in Jan-Nov

Bulgaria's consolidated budget deficit grew to 105.3 million levs ($71.2 million/53.8 million euro) through November from 74.2 million levs through October, finance ministry data indicated.

In January-November 2011 the country ran a consolidated budget deficit of 1.049 billion levs.

Bulgaria closed last year with a budget deficit of 1.58 billion levs, equivalent to 2.5% of the country's projected gross domestic product. The government plans to bring down the budget shortfall to 1.3% of GDP this year.
