The value of Bulgarian bank deposits by the non-government sector rose 8.6% on the year to 63.6 billion levs ($36.3 billion/32.5 euro) in April, slowing from a 7.3% annual growth in March, the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) said on Thursday.
Corporate deposits climbed by an annual 12.1% to 17.3 billion levs in April, accelerating from a 10.9% increase in the previous month, BNB said in its monetary statistics report.
At the same time, the annual growth in household deposits accelerated from 6.0% in March to 6.9% in April, when they amounted to 43.2 billion levs.
