Bulgaria's August industrial output rose by a provisional 1.0% month-on-month, while industrial sales went down by a monthly 4.5%, the country's statistics office said.
Year-on-year, industrial output climbed up 2.0%, while sales increased 1.7% in August, the National Statistics Institute (NSI) said on Monday.
The manufacturing sector was the only one to post an increase of output in August, of 1.1% compared with July. On the opposite end, sales in the energy sector dropped the most, by 8.6% on the month.
In July, industrial output remained flat on the month and edged up by 0.5% on the year, while industrial sales increased by a monthly 9.7% and an annual 9.5%.
