Bulgaria's April industrial output edged up by an annual 0.3%, while industrial sales grew 2.2% on the year, data of the statistics office indicated.
Month-on-month, April industrial output rose by a provisional 1.5% month-on-month, while sales fell by 3.8%, preliminary data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI) indicated on Thursday.
The highest monthly growth in terms of industrial output in April was registered in the utilities sector, where production rose by 6.0%, after a monthly drop by 9.6% in March. The output generated in the mining sector decreased by 6.7% on the month in April, following 5.0% rise a month earlier.
Industrial sales in the manufacturing sector in April were the only ones to post a monthly increase, by 0.4%, after soaring by 20.5% a month earlier. Industrial sales in the mining and utilities sectors dropped by 5.3% and 16.9%, respectively.
