Bulgaria's Annual Inflation Slows Down to 3.5% in May

Bulgaria's annual consumer price inflation slowed down to 3.5% in May, from 3.7% in the previous month, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said on Friday. On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices edged up by 0.1% in May, after adding 0.5% in April, NSI data indicated. Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which have the largest weight in the consumer basket, increased 5.8% year-on-year in May, while prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose 4.4%.
