Bulgaria's Annual GDP Growth Speeds Up To 3.5% In Q1

Bulgaria's economy expanded by 3.5% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2019, after growing by 3.2% in the previous quarter, flash data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI) showed on Wednesday. On a quarterly comparison basis, Bulgaria's GDP growth accelerated to 1.2% in the first quarter of 2019, from 0.8% in the fourth quarter of 2018, according to the NSI data. Calculated in current prices, Bulgaria's GDP amounted to 24.7 billion levs ($14.2 billion/12.6 billion euro) in the first three months of the year. GDP components (pct change):
