Bulgaria’s 10-mo Exports to EU Rise 33.8%

Bulgaria's exports to European Union states rose by an annual 33.8% in the ten months through October, totaling 20.4 billion levs ($13.4 billion/10.4 billion euro).

Germany, Romania, Italy, Greece and Belgium were the country's main trade partners as they jointly accounted for 66.7% of total exports, data from the National Statistics Institute showed.

However, the foreign trade balance with the EU in the January-October period was negative and amounted to 1.026 billion levs.

Bulgarian exports to non-EU countries rose by 26.5% on the year through November, exceeding 13.5 billion levs.
