Bulgarian Head of State Rosen Plevneliev is paying a two-day visit to the Republic of Austria on April 26 – 27, the press office of the head of state announced.
On April 26, Tuesday, the Bulgarian President will meet with Federal Head of State of Austria Heinz Fischer.
The meeting will be focused on development of trade and economic relations between the countries, cooperation in the fight against terrorism and taken measures to curb migration pressure on Europe, as well as the partnership within the EU.
During the meeting, the Bulgarian Head of State will be conferred the highest state decoration of Austria - the Order of Merit of the Austrian Republic.
The federal President will be conferred Order of Stara Planina. Ribbon: White with 3 equal stripes of red, green and white to one edge.
On 27 April President Rosen Plevneliev will meet with the Prime Minister of the Federal Province of Lower Austria Dr. Erwin Proell in St. Pölten. Later in the day in the monastery Klosterneuburg the Bulgarian President and the Prime Minister of Lower Austria will open exhibition "Eternal Sunshine of the East - Christian art from Bulgaria."
