Bulgaria posts steepest y/y fall in Jan industrial production among EU's SEE states

Bulgaria recorded the sharpest decline in industrial output among EU member states in Southeast Europe in January - by 3.4% year-on-year, which was also the fourth-steepest annual decrease among EU members for which data is available for that month, Eurostat said.

On a monthly comparison basis, industrial output in Bulgaria rose by 0.8% in January, the European statistical office said in a statement on Friday.

Elsewhere in SEE, Greece marked the EU's second-highest month-on-month increase in industrial production in January, on par with France - of 3.4%.
