Bulgaria's consumer prices fell by 2.0% in March, marking the sharpest drop among the European Union member states, the bloc’s statistics office said on Wednesday. On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 0.3% in Bulgaria in March, Eurostat said in a report. The EU's average annual inflation rate in March was estimated at a provisional 0.6%. Slovenia joined the EU in 2004, Romania and Bulgaria entered the bloc in 2007 and Croatia became the EU's 28th member on July 1, 2013.
