The European Union needs to solidify its ties with its neighbors to the east and south, according to the Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria and Poland.
Nikolay Mladenov met with Radoslaw Sikorski in Warsaw; both top diplomats agreed that the EU must do more on its relations with Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova as well as with the countries from the Western Balkans.
Sikorski said Poland supported Bulgaria's Schengen Agreement accession in March 2011, a commitment already declared by Polish PM Tusk during a recent visit to Bulgaria.
