Countries in the region bear shared responsibility for protection of stability and security on the Balkans, especially as regards challenges liked the migration crises, protection of EU external borders, and cooperation in counteracting terrorism. This was the stance expressed by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Speaker of the National Assembly of Slovenia Milan Brglez, who met Thursday in the Council of Ministers building in the capital Sofia, the press service of the government announced.
Mr Brglez is on an official visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Chairperson of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsetska Tsacheva.
Mr Borisov and the Speaker of the National Assembly of Slovenia expressed their high opinion of bilateral relations, voicing their ambition for them to continue developing at the highest political level and at an economic level.
The most promising fields of cooperation are information and communication technologies, it transpired at the meeting.
Work is also underway so that the inter-governmental commission on economic cooperation resumes its activity and the activation of the Bulgarian-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sofia.
