Bulgaria Launches 35-km Section of Trakia Highway July 1

A new 35-kilometre section of the Trakia highway, designed to link Sofia with the Black Sea port of Bourgas, will be unveiled on July 1.

The section between Stara Zagora and Nova Zagora is ready, as only road signs remain to be put up, the state-run Bulgarian National Television (BNT) reported.

A fortnight later, by mid-July, another section of the highway - between Nova Zagora and Yambol - will be launched. The section has a total length of 37 kilometres.

Upon the launch of the two sections some 30 kilometres between road junction Petoluchkata and Karnobat will remain to be built before the highway is completed.
