“The latest events in Europe clearly enframe the issues we’re facing now and outline this extremely difficult moment we are experiencing. In difficult times decisions are found very easily and quickly.” That is what Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Rumyana Bachvarova said at a briefing after the conference, held under the Presidency of the Salzburg Forum, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency announced.
Minister Bachvarova said it was an honour for her to host this conference.
“This is a regional format that is extremely productive and useful when it comes to common European policies, defending common positions in the European debate,” the Interior Minister said.
In her words, Salzburg Forum takes place in a crisis moment and this is proof that it is useful for sending signals to its European partners and those outside the EU. According to her, within the frames of the forum will be outlined some of the topics that will be discussed at the extraordinary meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Council in Brussels.
“At today's session and tomorrow will be discussed topics to deal with the unprecedented pressure of refugees and response to threats of terrorism," Mrs Bachvarova said.
