Bulgaria Granted EU Flood Damage Aid of 10.5 million euros

The EU Solidarity Fund (EUSF) has allocated a total of 10.5 million euros to Bulgaria in aid for flood damage.
The sum is part of a package worth 80 m euros, which is distributed among 3 flood-hit countries, including Serbia, Croatia and Bulgaria, according to reports of the Bulgarian National Radio.
Serbia is to receive aid of 60.2 million euros from the EUSF, while Croatia is to get around 9 million euros.
The European Commission made clear that the funding had been earmarked for covering emergency expenses made by the three governments for coping with the flood damage.
