Tomislav Donchev, Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister for EU Funds and Economic Policies, and Minister of Economy Bozhidar Lukarski held a meeting with representatives of the Council on Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Economy of Turkey, the press service of the government announced.
The Bulgarian officials presented the advantages making investments in Bulgaria offers to leading companies.
Besides low tax rates, developed transport infrastructure, and a favourable geographic location, the participants in the meeting put emphasis on Bulgaria’s fiscal stability and discipline combined with a clear vision containing concrete steps as regards key reforms.
“There are also Turkish companies among the 100 biggest companies in Bulgaria foreign investors own. The good experience they have gained additionally stimulates our Turkish partners to choose Bulgaria for their future investments and to significantly increase merchandise exchange,” Mr Donchev remarked.
Minister Bozhidar Lukarski stated encouraging investments in high-tech sectors, which generated high added value and were a prerequisite for an accelerate economic growth, was a priority in the government’s economic policy.
