Bulgaria's government on Wednesday said it gave the green light to the establishment of a Bulgarian-Greek joint venture to build, own and operate an interconnection gas link.
"The government gave permission for the establishment of a joint stock company between Bulgarian Energy Holding (BEH) and IGI Poseidon to build, own and operate the Bulgaria - Greece interconnection gas link," the cabinet said in a statement.
IGI Poseidon is a 50/50 partnership between Greece's DEPA and Italy's Edison.
