Bulgaria Foreign Minister to Attend UN General Assembly Session

Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Daniel Mitov will be on a working visit to New York. The visit starts today and will continue until October 1.
In New York Minister Mitov will take part in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, the press office of the Bulgarian ministry announced.
The Bulgarian delegation to New York is headed by President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev.
The 70th session of the UN General Assembly will be officially opened by Pope Francis on September 25.
Minister Daniel Mitov will also take part in the meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU member states, as well as in the informal meeting of the foreign ministers of the countries in the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).
The Bulgarian minister will also attend the meeting between the US Secretary of State with the EU foreign ministers.
At the initiative of Bulgaria there will be a working lunch of the foreign ministers under the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).
In New York Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov will hold a series of bilateral meetings that will give a chance to present Bulgaria’s positions and visions on a broad spectrum of top priority issues connected with the world peace and security, the human rights, the sustainable development until 2030 and the climate changes.
