Bulgaria expects to get 6,000 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines in Jan

Bulgaria's health ministry said that it expects to receive this month 6,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine developed by US-based biotechnology company Moderna.

Bulgaria also expects to get an additional 60,450 doses of the BioNTech-Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in January, after receiving 9,750 doses last month, the health ministry said in a statement last week.

The first doses of the Moderna vaccine are expected to reach Bulgaria on January 13, local business news outlet Investor.bg reported on Saturday.

By July, Bulgaria expects to receive 1,000,000 doses of the BioNTech-Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine and 500,000 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
