Invest Bulgaria Agency expects in 2014 foreign direct investments (FDI) in Bulgaria to reach 1.2 billion euro, local media reported on Monday.
In the January-April period the country attracted investments of 106.6 million euro, the agency's executive director Svetoslav Mladenov said at a press conference, quoted by the state-run news agency BTA.
In 2013 Bulgaria posted foreign direct investments of 1.09 billion euro.
In 2013 Bulgaria approved 15 investment projects at a total value of 100 million leva while in the first half of 2014 the country approved investment projects of 94 million levs, Mladenov added. Another 15 projects at a total value of 567 million euro are awaiting.
