Bulgaria Energy Ministry Launches Inspections on Power Distribution Companies’ Preparation for Winter Season

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Energy has launched inspections on the preparation of the three power distribution companies - CEZ Distribution Bulgaria AD, EVN Bulgaria Electricity Distribution EAD, and Energo-Pro Bulgaria Networks AD – and the Electricity System Operator (ESO) for the winter season, the press centre of the ministry announced.
The programmes for planning of activities in emergency situations and the activities related to material and technical equipment in the power distribution companies’ preparation for winter will be inspected.
To reduce risks for Bulgarian consumers, the Ministry of Energy will perform an analysis on the risk to the companies’ work in crisis situation and will draw up an action plan for minimizing it.
After the end of the check, the ESO will do an analysis on the risk faced by regions with higher power consumption and will make proposals concerning emergency prevention.
