Bulgaria Energy Minister to Attend TANAP Groundbreaking

Bulgarian Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova will take part in the official groundbreaking ceremony for the start of the construction of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) project, the press office of the ministry announced.
The symbolic groundbreaking ceremony will take place in the city of Selimiye, province of Kars, Turkey.
The ceremony will be attended by Chairperson of SOCAR and TANAP Management Board Rovnag Abdullayev, Azeri Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev, Turkish Minister of Energy Taner Yildiz, Georgia President Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) is a natural gas pipeline from Azerbaijan through Turkey to Europe. It is part of the Southern Gas Corridor. TANAP passed through the territory of Turkey from the border to Georgia to the one to Greece.
