“If the price of the oil at the world markets remains unchanged or decreases, I see no reason for increase of the fuel price by the end of the year,” Bulgarian Minister of Economy Bozhidar Lukarski said speaking for the Bulgarian National Television (BNT) reported.
Minister Lukarski commented whether it was possible for the fuel price in Bulgaria to remain under BGN 2/litre, saying that the fuel price was directly related to the oil price at the world markets.
Mr Lukarski, however, remarked that the fuel price formation was not within the authorities of the ministry.
“The Ministry of Economy is not a regulatory authority. We inspect the quality and the proper account of the amount of fuel sold at the filling stations,” he added.
