Bulgaria, China Mull Cooperation in Tobacco Production

Bulgaria and China are contemplating possibilities for cooperation in tobacco production and exports of fermented and unfermented tobacco, the Bulgarian News Agency, BTA, reported.
A joint committee will be set up to step up bilateral trade, the news agency quoted agriculture minister Dimitar Grekov as saying after a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Bulgaria Wei Jinghua.
The committee will explore the opportunities for cooperation in the production of yoghurt, wine exports, organic products, essential oil crops, meat and mineral water, among others, Grekov said.
Chinese investors have already expressed interest in assembling tractors and building a fodder plant in Bulgaria, Grekov recalled.
