Bulgaria Cabinet to Adopt Government Programme

A draft Government’s Programme for Stable Development of the Republic of Bulgaria (2014-2018) will be examined at today’s sitting of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers, the press office of the institution announced.
The document was worked out in line with the constitutional agreement for establishment of a pro-European reformist government for sustainable development of Bulgaria.
It is based on the Programme Declaration with priorities that will contribute to the strengthening of the state system and adopting well-founded, efficient and long-term policies in the fields of judicial system, healthcare, education, pension reform, energy, elections law, demographic policy.
The vision outlined by the government is for Bulgaria to be a European country that observes the supremacy of the law and to have institutions that work to the interest of the citizens, guarantee the efficiency and transparency, and create conditions for dignified life and personal development.
The government programme covers 21 fields, for the development of which the cabinet has outlined 423 concrete goals and 1,155 measures.
With the adoption of the document the cabinet stands firm behind its engagements in terms of encouraging the transparency, the fight against property crime and corruption, the use of new technologies for strengthening the government.
