Bulgaria has started the construction of the second stage of water supply mains in the municipality of Avren, on the Black Sea port Varna area, estimated at 2.9 million levs ($2.0 million/1.5 million euro), the country’s regional development ministry said.
The project is financed from the state budget and is part of a 20-million lev programme for fighting aridity in the country, the ministry said in a press release over the weekend.
Under the larger-scale programme, some 300,000 people in over 30 villages and towns will have better access to watter supply networks, according to the press release.
